How God puts Us right with him

I love the basic and simple truth’s found in God’s word. This one is one of my favorites. Romans 3:21-26 (I paraphrased it).
God’s way(not man’s way) of putting people right with himself has been revealed. It has nothing to with law. However, the Law of Moses and the prophets did give their witness to it.
God puts people right only through their faith in Jesus Christ. He does this to all who believe in Christ. Why? Because there is no difference at all: All have sinned and fall way short of God’s glory.

But,(don’t you just love all the “buts” in the bible?) by the free gift (let us never forget that it is a free gift) of God’s grace (that sums it up, “free gift of God’s grace) all can be put right with Him only through Christ Jesus, who sets us free.

God offered Christ, so that by his sacrificial death he should become the means (the only “means”) by which people’s sins are forgiven. How?(again) Through their faith in him. And why did God do this? He did this in order to demonstrate that he is righteous.

In the past, God was patient and overlooked people’s sins; but in this present time(today) he deals with our sins. Why?(here we go again) In order to demonstrate his righteousness. (I think we have a point made here. Why did God do all this? Simple. To show us all that He is Righteous and wants to make all “righteous” through the free gift of his Son.)

Yes, by giving his only Son as the only sacrifice for our sins, this shows us that He is Righteousness and that He puts right everyone who believes in Jesus (not only “in Jesus”, but the work of Jesus. Who he was, what he did for us, his example for us etc. His whole being of who he was and is.)

Just wanted to share this. I hope you were blessed by it.

Good evening. II CVorinthians 11:3 came to mind as I read this. In fact I’ve been thinking tonight how easily one can be removed from the simplicity that is in Christ through traditions of men and what have you. This is a good reminder to not over-complicate the gospel.

This will sound strange, but in the days of my youth, years before being born of the Spirit, I would read in the bible occasionally. I remember a time when reading John 3:16 that, for a brief moment, it became crystal clear to me, “whosoever believeth upon him (Jesus Christ) shall be saved” and yet it was out of reach. So simple, so incredible, so beautiful and yet for some reason, I was unable to grasp it at the time. Praise God for September of 1983 when the Lord brought me into the household of faith. Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ who paid for our sins with his own blood.

Have a blessed evening in Jesus.

i so love the buts in the bible… one of my favourite buts is in 1 corinthians 2:9-11 eye has not seen, ear not heard nor heart comphrended the good things that God has prepared for those whom he loves BUT God HAS revealled them to us because the Holy Spirit lives within us and is the One who reveals God to us…. (my paraphrase version) blessings, fireball
