By Faith

By all likelihood it would seem impossible for the situation to change.

This is where “Faith” comes into the picture. This is fertile ground for faith to work and grow. When life throws a big curve at you, you have a choice. You can either go down the road of discouragement which can lead to anger and bitterness, or you can choose “faith”.

The road of faith is often times very long. Not easy in this “instant gratification” world that we live in. Endurance runs hand to hand with faith.

We are reminded here that “without faith it is impossible to please Him,” (Heb.11:6). God wants to be praised, but he also wants to be pleased.

The classic description of faith is of course found in the 11th chapter of Hebrews. “Now faith is…… What? …..”the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It is what we hope for, but we don’t see. Is that blind faith?

In this chapter of Hebrews, it goes on and gives us some examples of this faith. One such example is of course “Noah”. Have you ever thought about Noah in regards to the people of his day? Do you think that most thought he was a real nut case? What kind of comments do you think that he endured as he built that huge boat and told every unbeliever that walked by? Would we of had that kind of enduring faith? “Though none go with me, still I will follow?” Still I will obey?

It says that Noah “condemned the world” with his faith. By building the ark.

Hope is also something that we hold onto. Without it, we succumb to the like effects of discouragement, anger and bitterness.
Like faith, “hope that is seen is not hope;” (Rom.8:24). Unseen is hope.

One of my favorites regarding “faith” is found in Romans the 4th chapter. It has to do with God’s faith. The faith of God.
_”God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” (4:17)
That’s faith. Calling things which are not as though they were.

I won’t take the time to continue on in the chapter, but it’s excellent regarding “hope”, “faith and belief”.

So like me, has life thrown any big curves your way? Are you going through something that seems impossible by all odds to work out? I am taking about a major blow in life?

If so, may we stand together by faith in what we hope for but don’t see. This life truly is a “faithwalk”
God bless you!

My family is in a “red sea” position right now. The mountains, the sea, the army–they are all surrounding us and there is absolutely no way out. However, what is impossible with men is absolutely possible with God. He can deliver us, I know that but beyond that, I believe that He will deliver us. Not because we are worthy. We’re not. We sincerely love Him and are trying to serve Him but could never do so in the way that He deserves. He delivers those who trust in Him. He responds to faith. True faith, that is. He can tell the “I’m just gonna obey God to get what I need and then I’m outta here” folks easily. He is never fooled.
